Re:Set — Rest Timer for Strength Training
Effective date: March 28, 2026
Overview
Re:Set is designed with your privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
Data Storage
All data — including workout history, set counts, rest durations, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and App Groups).
Workout history is also backed up to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your personal iCloud container and is not accessible to the developer or any third party. iCloud backup requires an active iCloud account on your device.
No Accounts
Re:Set does not require or offer user accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or authentication of any kind.
No Analytics or Tracking
The app does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your usage, behavior, or location.
Network Usage
Re:Set only communicates with Apple's iCloud servers to sync your workout history to your private iCloud account. No data is sent to developer-owned servers or any other third party. The app works fully offline — iCloud sync happens automatically when a connection is available.
Third-Party Services
Re:Set does not integrate with any third-party services. No data is shared with third parties.
Live Activities
Re:Set uses iOS Live Activities to display your current workout status on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This feature runs entirely on your device and does not transmit any data.
Children's Privacy
Re:Set does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
