ReSet — Rest Timer for Strength Training

Overview

ReSet is designed with your privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to developer-owned servers. This policy applies to the ReSet apps for both iOS and Android.

Data Storage

All data — including workout history, set counts, rest durations, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. On iOS this uses standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and App Groups); on Android it uses the local database and preferences storage (Room and DataStore).

Backups & Sync

Depending on your device settings, your operating system may back up or sync the app's data as part of features you control:

• iOS: if iCloud is enabled, your workout history may sync and back up through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). It is stored in your personal iCloud container and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.
• Android:if Google backup is enabled, the app's data may be included in your own device backup to your Google account. This is a system feature under your control and is not accessible to the developer.

These backups are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies, not by us.

No Accounts

ReSet does not require or offer user accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or authentication of any kind.

No Analytics or Tracking

The app does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your usage, behavior, or location.

Network Usage

The Android app does not request internet access at all and sends no data off your device. On iOS, the app only communicates with Apple's iCloud servers to sync your workout history to your private iCloud account. No data is sent to developer-owned servers or any other third party. The app works fully offline.

Third-Party Services

ReSet does not integrate with any third-party services. No data is shared with third parties.

Permissions

The app requests only the permissions the rest timer needs to work, such as showing notifications for the live rest countdown and end-of-rest alert (and, on Android, a foreground service and exact alarms to keep the timer accurate even when the app is closed). None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal data.

Children's Privacy

ReSet is a general-audience fitness utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update it on this page with a new date.
